So our first week has come to an end. What a hot, sweaty, sticky week it was but despite the heat, your children came to school, happy and excited with a smile on their faces. The first week (really the first month) we learn a lot about each other, develop a community of learners and work hard to learn new routines & expectations. What a fabulous job they have done so far. We just know this will be an excellent year. We continue to introduce material s-l-o-w-l-y! This way, your child is not overwhelmed, for example, this week we will be introducing classroom jobs ... even though they have been eager to begin. Thank you all for a wonderful open house! It was a huge success and we hope, we were able to answer all your questions. Like I said, please do not hesitate to reach out to us regarding anything at all! Communication is the key to your child's success in the 2nd grade! Enjoy some first week highlights below.
